Good value for money

I was looking for something affordable to do with the kids and found their family ticket bundle online. It saved us a bit compared to buying individual tickets. The pumpkin picking tickets were an added extra but felt worth it. Overall, a good experience for the price we paid.

Decent visit, a few minor points

I purchased an annual membership pass for my family, hoping to make multiple visits throughout the year. The initial sign-up online was smooth, and picking up the physical passes at the farm was quick. Our first visit was enjoyable; the variety of animals kept the kids engaged, and the farm shop produce was a nice touch – we bought some local eggs. The play areas, both indoor and outdoor, are well-maintained. However, I did notice that some of the animal enclosure information signs were a bit faded and hard to read. Also, while the goat feeding was fun, the queues for the feed bags could get quite long during peak times. The value of the annual pass will depend on how many times we actually go, but so far, it seems like a reasonable investment for consistent entertainment. Customer service at the gate was friendly when we arrived.

Good family day out

I bought a Family Day Pass for 2 adults and 2 children for a visit last weekend. The booking process online was straightforward, and I received the confirmation email with the e-tickets almost immediately. We visited on a Saturday during May Half Term, so it was quite busy, but not overwhelmingly so. We especially enjoyed the animal encounter session with the goats; the kids loved feeding them with the animal feeding bags we bought at the entrance. The indoor play area was a lifesaver when it started to drizzle for a bit, and it was included in the ticket price, which was good. The miniature railway was a hit too, though we had to buy separate train ride tickets for that. My only small criticism would be the cafe food; it was decent but a bit pricey for what it was. Overall, it was a solid day of fun and the kids were tired and happy by the end of it. Parking was free and ample, which is always a plus.

Reliable family fun

We've been coming to Windmill Animal Farm for years, and this time we bought tickets for the Easter Egg Hunt. Like always, the online booking was simple, and the special event was well-organised. It's consistently a good day out for the kids. We usually get the family ticket bundle, which always saves a bit compared to buying individual farm admission tickets. The farm never disappoints; the animals are always well cared for, and there's enough to do to fill a whole day. It's why we keep coming back, year after year. Always a solid option for entertaining the little ones.

Fun time at the farm

We went to Windmill Animal Farm last month and it was pretty cool. Got the tickets online, super easy. The kids loved seeing all the animals, especially the donkeys. They even got to feed some sheep, which was cute. Spent a lot of time in the outdoor adventure playground. It was a good day, everyone had a good time.

Hey, thinking of taking the kids to Windmill Animal Farm next month. My partner works for the NHS, is there like a blue light discount or anything?

D Daniel Nguyen 1 month ago
Yeah, they definitely do NHS discounts. Pretty sure it's the Blue Light Card, you just show it when you buy tickets or use the code online.

I used my Blue Light Card last year, got a decent chunk off the family ticket. Just make sure you have it ready, saves a bit of faff at the gate.

Considering an annual pass for Windmill Animal Farm. For anyone who has one, is it worth it? We live kinda close, so could go a few times a year.

K Kyle Taylor 4 weeks ago
If you're planning on going more than like, two or three times a year, then absolutely. It pays for itself really quickly and then you can just pop in whenever.

We got one last year and loved it. Especially good for just going for an hour or two without feeling like you've wasted money on a full day ticket. Plus you get other discounts sometimes too, I think.

Quick question about tickets. Do I HAVE to book online beforehand, or can I just rock up on the day and pay at the gate? Don't want to get stuck if it's busy.

L Leah 1 day ago
You can usually pay at the gate, but for busy times like school holidays, I'd seriously recommend booking online. Saves queuing and makes sure you get in.

Honestly, just book it. Less hassle, especially if you're going during any kind of peak season. Plus, sometimes they have online-only deals, afaik.

Anyone know if the indoor play area is included with the regular admission ticket? Or is that extra cash when you get there?

S Susan Smith 3 weeks ago
From what I remember, the indoor play area is included in your standard admission. No extra cost once you're in, which is great if the weather turns rubbish.

It's part of the admission, yeah. Super handy for when the little ones need to burn off steam but it's raining buckets outside.

Looking at bringing our doggo to Windmill Animal Farm, is it allowed? He's super well behaved, just want to check before we plan the trip.

B Brittany Lewis 3 weeks ago
Nah, pretty sure dogs aren't allowed inside the farm itself, unfortunately. Most animal farms have that rule for biosecurity and stuff.

W William Perez 3 weeks ago
I've never seen anyone with a dog there. Pretty sure their policy is no dogs, except for assistance dogs obviously. You'd have to leave him at home.
